Tuğçe Sönmez Evin, founder of Kitbox Design will be giving a seminar titled “New Generation Designers: Maker-Designer”, as part of the ID 480 Design Management course seminars. All interested are kindly invited to Yüksel Proje Amfisi A04 Hall on April 16th, Tuesday at 10:30 AM. The seminar will be conducted in English.
Tuğçe Sönmez Evin is a young industrial designer and an entrepreneur with a background of maker-designer. She has a bachelor of Industrial Design in Middle East Technical University and have had a part of her design education in Italy, at Politecnico di Milano. Her experiences in here have shaped her design approach vastly. Her interest in films and design led her to 6 years of work in film industry. In the films that she has worked in where all objects come together to tell a story, it was a true inspiration for her to be a part of recreation of different timezones and movements of design. These experiences and inspirations led her to set up her own brand in 2016, and Kitbox Design is born. 2 years after that, now, she still designs and produces her own designs under the name of Kitbox and presents them to the user. Her designs take place in several concept design stores in İstanbul, Berlin and Montreal for now.
